Certified Lay Ministers can serve in our local churches in a pastoral role. They do not have sacramental authority and will have an elder mentor who will celebrate those duties with them.  So, this is a training for a lay person who might see themselves in that role. But, it’s also a training for anyone who thinks that they want to explore the faith and how that is part of their current vocation – as a nurse or a teacher or welder. Laity are in mission everywhere they go and this training adds some tools for that ministry to your toolbox.
